About us
Arizona Faith Network is an interfaith organization dedicated to bringing people together to promote peace and understanding through interfaith education and dialogue as well as healing of the world through collaborative social action. We are made up of people of different faiths who covenant with each other in solidarity and mutual respect.
We recognize that our diversity makes us stronger and while we seek to find common ground, we also lift up our differences as unique individuals and communities. Together we are committed to both civil dialogue and transformational action while we seek to keep our faiths and beliefs as an inspiration and direction for all that we do.
Executive Director
Rev. Dr. Katie Sexton
Rev. Dr. Katie Sexton has served as Executive Director of Arizona Faith Network since 2019, leading statewide interfaith initiatives focused on justice, community resilience, and faith-rooted community organizing. An ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and trained community organizer, she brings experience in nonprofit leadership, congregational ministry, and higher education, working to build partnerships that strengthen communities and advance the common good. Rev. Dr. Sexton previously served as Senior Pastor of Coolwater Christian Church in Scottsdale and spent over a decade working in higher education. She holds a Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary, a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management, and a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University. In addition to her role at AFN, she serves as Board President of the Justa Center and on the Board of Directors for Bread for the World.
